Zimmerman's Racist Pledge Drive Raises $20,000 in Less than 24 hours,

From [HERE] and [HERE] George Zimmerman has a safe house in Seminole County, Florida and could be living in it by the end of the day, his legal team said on its blog, after the defendant in the Trayvon Martin killing raised $20,000 in less than 24 hours. Zimmerman has to pay 10 percent of his $1 million bail and prove he has collateral worth the rest in order to gain his release. He is a repeat violent offender who lied about his finances and hid a second passport from the Court. His release should be expected in this system of white supremacy- not justice. His lawyers issued a statement begging for more money online:

George Zimmerman is not a threat to his community nor is he a flight risk. However, unless we take weeks or months to appeal Judge Lester's order setting bail at $1,000,000, the only way George can get out of jail is to pay a bondsman. This is what we intend to do.

We steadfastly maintain that George Zimmerman acted in self-defense and that he is not guilty of second degree murder.

In the next hours and days the defense team will be working to get George released on bail and on effective strategies for moving forward. Much of our decision making will be based upon the funds available for mounting a defense. In the days surrounding Mr. Zimmerman's initial arrest, supporters surprised everyone with the strength of their donations.

The latest plea for cash went out a special website his defense team set up to publish statements about the case. It said the defense was certain to be “very expensive” and read like some sort of bizarre public radio pledge drive.

“For those who have given in the past,” it said, “for those who have thought about giving, for those who feel Mr. Zimmerman was justified in his actions, for those who feel they would do the same if they were in Mr. Zimmerman’s shoes, for those that think Mr. Zimmerman has been treated unfairly by the media, for those who feel Mr. Zimmerman has been falsely accused as a racist, for those who feel this case is an affront to their constitutional rights — now is the time to show your support.”

Zimmerman’s team made the plea just hours after Judge Kenneth Lester Jr., granted him bail for the second time this year.

Of course, it was the money Zimmerman raised previously that landed him back in jail this time around. Last month, after he had been released on bail following the shooting, the judge threw him back behind bars after finding out he and his wife tried to hide the fundraising from authorities.
