FBI says No evidence Zimmerman a racist: 'Pleasant, Little Hero' Pursued Trayvon 'based on Attire, not skin color'

From [HERE] New records released by prosecutors in the George Zimmerman murder case show federal civil rights investigators interviewed dozens of his friends, neighbors and coworkers, but found no one who said Zimmerman was a racist. FBI agents interviewed an array of people involved in Zimmerman's life, including several coworkers. None said they had ever known him to show racial bias. One who saw him the day after the shooting said Zimmerman was "beat up physically and emotionally." (Oh, they mean like smoking gun evidence of a bigot who commits overt racist acts on a regular basis, like pushing a black person down the steps and using a slur. Is that what racist means to white folks? )

Agents also interviewed Chris Serino, the Sanford police department's lead investigator in the case. He told agents he believed Zimmerman had pursued Trayvon Martin "based on his attire," and not "skin color." (As if 'wearing hoodie' 'thug wear', walking in a certain manner, or hip-hop, eating chicken & watermelon are not pretextual proxies for "Black"). Zimmerman, he said, has a "little hero complex" but is not a racist. The FBI also talked to local gun shop and gun range managers. One said Zimmerman came in weeks after the shooting and said "his life was in danger and he needs more guns." 

The day of his arrest, Zimmerman handed over to FDLE agents a "cop killer" handgun, a Belgian-made semiautomatic designed to fire bullets at such velocity, they pierce body armor, and three magazines of ammuntion, according to case paperwork. (standard issue for the "neighborhood watchmen" in Sanford - u go white power!).  

Zimmerman's ex-fiancee', who filed a domestic violence injunction against him in 2005, also had kind things to say about his behavior around blacks, the FBI reported.

He socialized and played basketball with white, black and Hispanic men and "never exhibited any biases or prejudices against anyone and did not use racial epithets of any kind", an agent quoted her as saying.

The woman told the FBI Zimmerman "began to exhibit overly protective and territorial behavior" after their engagement. Once they moved in together, the relationship "deteriorated," she told agents. She also talked about incidents of violence between them, culminating when they filed domestic-violence injunctions against each other in 2005.

Zimmerman "often talked about wanting to be a police officer," the ex-fiancée said. She said he never displayed racial bias that she was aware of, but "had a bad temper during their relationship."

A supervisor at a mortgage risk company told agents that Zimmerman "works well with a diverse group."

The new records show the FBI asked each person interviewed whether Zimmerman "displayed any bias, prejudice or irrational attitude against any class of citizen, religious, racial, gender or ethnic groups." They all said he hadn't. Coworkers described Zimmerman as "pleasant" and "outgoing."

The documents also include police reports from prior burglaries in Retreat at Twin Lakes. Between March 2010 and March 2012, the documents state, seven burglaries had been reported in the townhouse community, as well as several larcenies and drug offenses.

Zimmerman and Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee exchanged emails long before the incident occurred.

In the weeks immediately following Trayvon Martin’s death Sanford Police maintained they had no idea who Zimmerman was; however, a video surfaced of a January 2011 city hall forum in which Zimmerman publicly lambasted the “lazy” work of Sanford police officers and claimed to have gone on ridealongs in police squad cars. Today’s evidence also released a short email exchange between Zimmerman and former Sanford police chief Bill Lee, in which Zimmerman told Lee that a helpful officer had “restored [his] faith” in the Sanford police department. Lee was fired June 20th amid accusations the police had botched their handling of Martin’s death.

Family members are sure that the voice crying for help on 911 tapes is Martin’s.

People close to the teenager insist that the unidentified voice screaming for help on 911 tapes from the evening of Feb. 26 is Trayvon Martin’s. An investigator spoke with Martin’s cousin who said he would swear to it “on a stack of Bibles.” Sybrina Fulton, Martin’s mother, also confirmed to investigators that the voice was her son’s. That same cousin said that he hadn’t seen Martin smoke marijuana that day, and the two had spent part of the day together. [MORE]
