George Zimmerman's Old Web Page Reveals Ignorance - Racism Against Latinos

From [HERE] and [HERE] An old MySpace page made by George Zimmerman shows the former "neighborhood watchman" has a history of making disparaging remarks about Mexicans, and boasted of escaping assault charges in a legal case instigated by an ex-girlfriend, The Miami Herald first reported on Wednesday.

The page, dating from 2005, was confirmed as authentic on Wednesday by Zimmerman's attorney, Mark O'Mara. Zimmerman, 28, is currently facing second-degree murder charges in the shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin. 

On a page called "onlytobeakingagain," Zimmerman reportedly used the name "Joe G" and discussed missing his hometown of Manassas, Va. before veering off into a rant about Mexicans who lived in the area.

"I don't miss driving around scared to hit mexicans walkin on the side of the street, soft (expletive) wanna be thugs messin with peoples cars when they aint around (what are you provin, that you can dent a car when no ones watchin) don't make you a man in my book," Zimmerman wrote on the page. "Workin 96 hours to get a decent pay check, gettin knifes pulled on you by every mexican you run into!"

Last month, a Zimmerman Myspace page under the username “datniggytb” was taken down.

Another line suggested his friends went to jail and did not rat him out. “They do a year and dont ever open thier [sic] mouth to get my ass pinched.”

Two other August 2005 posts make references to Zimmerman's legal problems. In one, Zimmerman boasted of escaping two felony charges stemming from a physical altercation outside of a bar with a law enforcement officer. The second incident involved a legal battle with a former girlfriend Zimmerman described as an "ex-hoe" who he wrote "tried her hardest, but the judge saw through it!"

The post is likely referencing a 2005 incident in which a girlfriend accused Zimmerman of attacking her. The issue came to light during Zimmerman's bail hearing last month, where his current wife insisted he was actually defending himself from his former girlfriend at the time of the alleged incident.

A statement posted on a Zimmerman's legal defense website, operated by O'Mara, confirms the page is authentic and acknowledges a "number of statements that will cast Mr. Zimmerman in a less-than-favorable light especially considering the charges he faces."

He is accused of shooting the unarmed 17-year-old in February while patrolling a gated community in Sanford, Fla. Some civil rights groups claim the incident was the result of racial profiling, with Zimmerman, who has a white father intentionally targeting Martin because he was an African-American.

Zimmerman claims he pulled the trigger in self-defense after he was attacked by Martin. 

The new website, gzlegalcase.com, was made after Zimmerman's initial legal defense site was shut down. Last week, O'Mara ordered his client to wipe his Internet presence clean, leading Zimmerman to take down his website and social media accounts, The Miami Herald reports. O'Mara said any remaining web pages purporting to belong to Zimmerman are fakes.

Zimmerman's legal defense fund, which is used to pay for his legal fees and living expenses, has collected more than $200,000.

Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump said Wednesday that prosecutors could use the MySpace page against Zimmerman to prove he has a history of racial profiling.

"It's not just speculation and innuendo. He has a history and a habit of profiling people," Crump said. "He thinks certain things about certain racial groups."
