DC Mayor Gets Fortune Cookies from Baseball Stadium Foes

Protesters opposed to the Mayor Anthony Williams' stadium plan are adding a little humor to the debate. They've packaged their message in fortune cookies to welcome the mayor back from the Far East.  They delivered a box of six cookies to the offices of the mayor, each D.C. Council member, and officials including City Administrator Robert Bobb. One message reads, "Approving baseball at RFK can ensure longevity of elected officials."  Organizer John Capozzi - a one-time council candidate - says no one is opposed to baseball. But they say they want a plan that will benefit the community rather than baseball owners.  A representative of the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless says economic development shouldn't come through hot dog  jobs.
