It may not officially
be called the "Schwarzenegger amendment," but a proposed constitutional
amendment would allow Austrian-born Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger,
Canadian-born Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm and 12.8 million other
naturalized citizens to be president. The "Equal Opportunity to Govern
Amendment," debated in the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, was
proposed by Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, and Rep. Dana Rohrabacher,
R-Huntington Beach. It would allow naturalized citizens to become
president after living in the country for 20 years. [more ] How about a Constitutional Amendment banning racist idiots from running for President!
