No funding fallout - Farmworker Jobs Program
MOST MIGRANTS and seasonal workers in the area aren't too worried about the possible termination of the National Farmworker Jobs Program. That's because many of them don't know anything about it. The National Farmworker Jobs Program is a federally funded service that offers job training and educational opportunities to help migrants and seasonal workers become self-sufficient. The Bush administration has suggested cutting the program from the 2005 national budget, which has many farmworker and Latino organizations concerned.
