Schwarzenegger says driver license solution might be 'unacceptable to Latino lawmakers'
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said Saturday that he is optimistic that illegal immigrants will be eligible for driver licenses, but he said they may face restrictions that some Latino lawmakers have called unacceptable. Schwarzenegger said security remains his chief concern and if the identity of illegal immigrants cannot be verified they may have to accept licenses that could only be used for driving not for positive identification at airports, banks or businesses.
