Prattville Police Abuse Trial Ends But No Verdict Yet

• Cops Beat Down Black Woman

It'll be at least two weeks before there's a verdict in the bench trial of  a Prattville police officer accused of using excessive force while arresting a Birmingham woman. Sgt. Dexter Emmanuel is accused by 27-year old Heather   Scarlett. She claims Emmanuel slammed her against the back of the car and pressed her face against the window.  Emmanuel pulled Scarlett over after noticing she had crossed the double yellow line near Wal-Mart. Emmanuel denies being abusive. He and many of his colleagues testified that Scarlett used vulgar language including a racial slur director toward Sgt. Emmanuel. The two week delay in the verdict will give the judge time to consider motions filed by Scarlett's lawyer. [more ]

I don't know what kind of idiot posted this, but Sgt. Emmanuel is BLACK, and Heather Scarlet is a white female. She referred to Emmanuel repeatedly using racial slurs, and was involved in a similar incident with a BLACK State Trooper a year or so ago. Apparently she doesn't like being told what to do by black law enforcement officers. Before you post inflammatory headlines, how about taking a minute or two to get your facts straight. Oh, and by the way, I'm black too... just so you don't think there is a conspiracy....

yes im sorry this really isnt a comment to that article, i was just wondering if that heather scarlett is the heather scarlett that went to high school in clinton illinois. i havent been able to find her and i have some really important news that i have to tell her, if anyone can help please e-mail me
