From the Frontrunner June 22, 2012 A new Quinnipiac University poll shows President Obama leading Mitt Romney 46%-42% in Florida. That's a change from a May survey, which showed Romney up 47%-41%. In the current survey, Obama leads 46%-37% among independent voters. The poll surveyed 1,697 registered voters from June 12-18.
Politico (6/22, Burns), in a report on the Quinnipiac survey, noted that Romney "won voters over 55, white voters and men," while "all other demographic groups broke for the president: women, black and Latino voters, and voters 54 and younger."
