Lockheed Martin remained the top
U.S. military contractor in 2004, receiving $20.7 billion in contract
awards from the Defense Department. The Bethesda, Md.-based company was
first in 2003 as well. In the 2004 report, released Thursday by the
Pentagon, Chicago-based Boeing came in second, with $17.1 billion. The
top 10 contractors, according to the Pentagon:
Lockheed Martin, $20.7 billion, down from $21.9 billion in 2003
Boeing, $17.1 billion, down from $17.3 billion
Northrop Grumman, $11.9 billion, up from $11.1 billion
General Dynamics, $9.6 billion, up from $8.2 billion
Raytheon, $8.5 billion, up from $7.9 billion
Halliburton, $8 billion, up from $3.9 billion
United Technologies, $5.1 billion, up from $4.5 billion
Science Applications International Corp., $2.5 billion, down from $2.6 billion
Computer Sciences Corp., $2.4 billion, down from $2.5 billion
