The Arizona legislature is considering a proposal that would make English the state's official language.The proposal would mean that most government business would have to be conducted in English, and states, cities and counties would not be able to print documents, like utility bills, in Spanish or any other non-English language. Some Latino leaders have called the proposal a slap in the face to the Latinos who reportedly make up 25 percent of Arizona's population. [more]
