Slain teen's family not satisfied with Carbonneau sentence

Eli Escobar's family is no more satisfied on Thursday that justice has been done, than they were Wednesday. But, the young man's father, also named Eli Escobar, says he hopes his son's death will lead to better training for police officers, not just in Houston but across the United States. Eli Escobar's parents are suing the City of Houston for wrongful death in the shooting of their son. "They approach children like they were some kind of gangsters or something, you know. I mean, children will get scared. Even I, if I were to be apprehended by a police officer, I would panic a little bit too. But a child is more different," says the father. Eli Escobar's family is no more satisfied on Thursday that justice has been done, than they were Wednesday. Lydia Escobar doesn't want a letter of apology.
