But Quincy Shannon says it all happened when he
called police about a police officer's behavior. Shannon said he and
his friends were in a car trying leave a parking lot in Lower Downtown,
but traffic was jammed. An officer apparently told the driver he had
five seconds to move. "Before I could even explain we could not go
nowhere, the officer behind him says, 'Why wait 5 seconds?' And opens
up a can of mace and starts macing the truck," said Shannon's friend,
Ramone Hernandez. Shannon said he ran out of the car and called 911 to
report the officer. "About that time, right when I got to describing
him, that's when he threw me on the ground," said Shannon. "And I'm
yelling in the phone, 'I'm on the ground now. Help, help.' And that's
when he grabbed the phone and yelled, 'You're an f-ing smart one,' and
that's when he turned off my phone." [more ]
