Israel said Wednesday it will continue to build its West
Bank security wall, despite a UN resolution demanding it comply with a
recent International Court of Justice advisory opinion recommending
that the barrier be torn down. The Although the UN General

ruling, is not legally binding. Former Israeli ambassador to the
UN Dore Gold called the UN resolution "fundamentally unbalanced and
destabilizing because it calls on Israel to remove the shield
protecting it without doing anything about the sword of Palestinian
