than one-third of the money Ralph Nader has raised for his independent
presidential campaign in Florida comes from people who also have given
to President Bush, the Republican Party or both. The amounts involved
are small by presidential campaign standards. Nader has raised $25,550
in Florida, part of $1 million nationwide. But the situation mirrors
what Democrats say is a national pattern of Republicans seeking to help
