Twelve people, including the city's former treasurer and a high-profile lawyer, have been charged in connection with a corruption case dealing with the city of Philadelphia's financial transactions. According to the indictment, attorney Ronald White corrupted then City Treasurer Corey Kemp by making payments and giving other benefits to Kemp in exchange for Kemp following White's directions regarding the employment of financial service companies to carry out bond transactions.
