The casino, proposed by the Wisconsin-based Ho-Chunk Indian nation and backed by U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.), would be the centerpiece of an entertainment area that would include an 800-room hotel, a water park, athletic fields and a Native American museum on about 400 acres near Glenwood-Dyer Road and Stony Island Avenue.
