Rebels in west Sudan's conflict-torn Darfur
region have released 16 U.N. and other aid workers, a day after
detaining them, a senior U.N. official says. The seizure of the workers
and the delay in letting them go was "totally unacceptable", U.N.
Emergency Relief Coordinator Jan Egeland said in a statement on Sunday.
