Claiming their names are copyrighted, defendants charge when judges, prosecutors and defense lawyers use their names.
Since their arrest last year in an alleged $10 million
money-order scheme, five South Jersey men have been billing
judges, prosecutors and defense lawyers for using their names in court
papers
and hearings. They claim that they own the financial rights to their
names, which they have copyrighted, and are therefore owed $1 million
