Five people, including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA), were wounded during baseball practice in Alexandria, Virginia. The assailant, “identified by multiple law enforcement officials as James T. Hodgkinson II” was killed by police after exchanging gunfire.
Responding to the shooting, Savage questioned whether Trump should “take control of Twitter” and asked, “Is it time for the government to take control of the out of control pirates on social media...who do not monitor left-wing haters.” He also advocated for removing Rachel Maddow and others from the airwaves by the federal government, citing “their constant drum beat of their hatred against Trump and Republicans, calling for, among other things, resistance with their sneers every night?”
Savage later argued that CNN and MSNBC were “practicing a silent form of jihad against America” and demanded that Republicans “call a hearing a make the heads of CNN and MSNBC answer to them as to what they are doing to curtail the sneering hatred of Rachel Madcow [sic] in particular.”
Savage concluded his tirade by warning that the violence created by the media’s “jihad” “is only the beginning” arguing that the shooter was inspired to violence by “the hatred for Republicans and Trump” of the media.

From [HERE] Prince William County Supervisor Corey Stewart gave Virginia’s Republican establishment a scare on Tuesday night.
Stewart, a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, made an unexpectedly strong showing in the GOP’s gubernatorial primary, narrowly losing to rival and frontrunner Ed Gillespie, a party insider who once led polls by double digits. The frontrunner squeaked by with a victory margin of only a few thousand votes — just over one percentage point. (Virginia pays for a recount if candidates come within .5 percent of one another.)
After achieving 43.72 percent of the vote to Stewart’s 42.53 percent (another candidate, Frank Wagner, achieved 13.74 percent), Gillespie thanked supporters and donors as he turned his attention towards Virginia’s general gubernatorial election. “We have won the nomination tonight,” Gillespie said, thanking “all those across the Commonwealth who have worked so hard to get us to this point.”
Stewart, however, declined to give a true concession speech Tuesday night, instead saying the race was “too close to call” and vowing to “continue it forward into 2018” while also making jabs at the media.
“Even all of you in the press I love you…but you’re just wrong,” Stewart told a room full of supporters and reporters as results rolled in. “Because you all said that it couldn’t be done, you all said that someone who supported our president, someone who supported President Trump…could never win.”
Stewart went on to say he supported the “revolution” Trump had hailed, assert that “establishment Republicans and establishment Democrats are one and the same,” and refuse to embrace unity or endorse his opponent.
“It’s the state of Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson. That is our heritage. It is what makes us Virginia,” he said in April. Of the Confederate flag, he said, “That flag is not about racism, folks, it’s not about hatred, it’s not about slavery. It’s about our heritage. It’s time that we stop running away from our heritage.”
He later tweeted, “Nothing is worse than a Yankee telling a Southerner that his monuments don’t matter.”
In addition to throwing his weight behind Trump, Stewart aligned himself with the “alt-right” movement while campaigning, labeling Gillespie a “cuckservative” — a term singling out conservatives who are read by white nationalists as supporting efforts counter to the aims of white supremacy.
From [HERE] The Trump administration has reopened the cases of hundreds of undocumented immigrants whose deportations were previously deferred under the Obama administration, according to Reuters.
Between March 1 and May 31, federal prosecutors moved to reopen more than 1,300 immigration cases, according to Reuters's analysis of Executive Office of Immigration Review data — more than three times the number reopened under the Obama administration in the same period of 2016.
The Obama administration, by comparison, moved to reopen 430 cases during that period last year, and generally only did so if an individual had committed a serious crime.
Under the previous administration, Obama put a low priority on deporting immigrants who were not considered to be a significant threat to public safety. Attorneys say these newly reopened cases include immigrants cited for only minor crimes, such as traffic violations.
"This is a sea change," former American Immigration Lawyers Association President David Leopold told Reuters. "Before, if someone did something after the case was closed out, that showed that person was a threat, then it would be reopened. Now they are opening cases just because they want to deport people." The UK human rights group Reprieve [advocacy website] announced the case on Wednesday. The attorneys are seeking to subpoena [advocacy website] the psychologists in order to uncover evidence about the American-led torture that allegedly went on in Poland. According to US law, a federal district court may [discovery order, PDF] "order discovery of documents and testimony for use in a foreign proceeding from any person who resides or is found in the court's district." The case will be heard in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Washington [official website]. The CIA had detained [AP report] the plaintiff in a secret Polish prison from 2002 to 2003 on suspicions that he was a "facilitator" for al Qaeda. Zubaydah has been held at Guantanamo since 2006. In April 2016 a federal judge ruled [JURIST report] that another lawsuit against the same psychologists with different plaintiffs could proceed.
Captured in Pakistan in 2002, Abu Zubaydah was the first person subjected to a CIA torture regimen devised by contractor psychologists James Mitchell and Bruce Jessen, who currently face a federal lawsuit brought by subsequent CIA torture victims. Initially thought to possess vital information on al-Qaida and its plots, and hardened by resistance to interrogation, Abu Zubaydah was waterboarded 83 times, stuffed into a wooden box not much bigger than a coffin, held naked, kept awake for extensive periods and had his body painfully contorted.
Following a 47-day period of isolation at the black site, Abu Zubaydah experienced 19 days of torture on what the Senate intelligence committee later observed was a “near 24-hour-per-day basis”. During that time, interrogators placed him in a coffin-sized box for the equivalent of 11 days and two hours, and inside an even smaller box for a total of 29 hours. It took six days for interrogators to cable back to the CIA that it was unlikely Abu Zubaydah knew anything about upcoming plots, and seven for them to cable back it was “highly unlikely”.
Not only did Abu Zubaydah’s torture continue, the CIA represented it to the Bush administration and Congress as a success, and subsequently tortured at least 118 others.
From [HERE] OVER THE PAST DECADE, the United States has claimed broad authority to carry out drone strikes across the world, even in places far from the battlefield. Under President Barack Obama, the U.S. acknowledged killing between 2,867 and 3,138 people in strikes that took place in countries like Somalia, Yemen, and Pakistan.
Although in the waning days of his presidency, Obama took some steps to improve transparency about drone strikes, including providing the total estimated death toll, a new report by the Columbia Law School Human Rights Clinic and the Sana’a Center for Strategic Studies says that the U.S. is still lagging in providing a full accounting of its drone program. Among other failures, the report, titled “Out of the Shadows: Recommendations to Advance Transparency in the Use of Lethal Force,” says that the U.S. has only acknowledged approximately 20 precent of its reported drone strikes — failing to claim responsibility or provide details in the vast majority of cases.
Meanwhile, the drone program is intensifying. Since President Donald Trump took office earlier this year, the rate of drone strikes per month has increased by almost four times Obama’s average. Yemen in particular has been a target of many of these operations, with between nine and 11 strikes hitting the country this year, along with 81 other covert attacks by U.S. forces, according to statistics compiled by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism.
The authors of the new report say that the government’s failure to provide information or legal rationales for its strikes is making it impossible to understand the full scope of the government’s targeted killing program, as well as its impact on civilians.
“For years, the only way we knew anything about individual strikes was from media reports or individual statements about strikes from government officials,” said Alex Moorehead, of the Columbia Law School’s Human Rights Institute, highlighting the failure of the government to provide details about cases in which drones have been used for targeted killings. “When we talk about official acknowledgment, we are talking about specific information about individual strikes, which is what matters to people who have had loved ones killed.”
From [HERE] Iraq claimed credit for videos earlier this week showing the use of white phosphorus munitions in densely populated parts of the Old City in Mosul, but their use is becoming even more widespread, with new reports suggesting that the US is also using such shells in both Iraq and Syria.
Though white phosphorus shells are not uncommon in the military, and often used as smokescreens, the high temperature at which it burns, and the toxic chemicals emitted makes them wholly unsuitable for populated areas, and their use in any densely populated area or as an incendiary are widely considered war crimes.
In the cases where images are emerging, they are definitely in densely populated areas, with both Mosul and Raqqa apparently facing the use of white phosphorus. The US would neither confirm nor deny the use, though officials did insist that if they were using them, it was in keeping with their ongoing efforts to limit the number of civilians they killed.
That assurance is less and less valuable, as US airstrikes killing soaring numbers of civilians in Mosul and Raqqa at any rate. Rights groups are warning that the use of the shells in populated areas is an undue risk, and they are seeking more information on the context in which they are being deployed. Western powers have been meddling in the Middle East for a very long time. A few examples will suffice.
In 1953, Britain and the U.S. conspired to overthrow democratically-elected Iranian Prime Minister Mossadegh and replace him with a tyrant — the Shah of Iran. Mossadegh wanted to nationalise a British oil company and reap the profits for Iran. It was Iran’s oil, after all. The Shah was more obliging, and let the flows of profits and cheap oil to the West continue.
We know how well that ended. The Shah’s iron-fisted repression eventually produced a fundamentalist theocratic revolution and a regime since labelled as one of the “axis of evil”.
Saudi Arabia is well-known to be the source of Wahhabism, the fundamentalist Islamic sect that promotes the Sharia law so loathed and dreaded by the likes of Pauline Hanson. Yet Saudi Arabia is an ally of the U.S. and, perforce, of Australia. How come? Well, Saudi Arabia sits on the world’s biggest pool of oil.
Saudi Arabia has also given the world Osama bin Laden and most of the terrorists who brought down the Twin Towers in New York in 2001. Saudi Arabia is widely reputed to be the major, though unofficial, source of funds supporting Middle Eastern terrorists. So why is Saudi Arabia an ally?
The 2003 invasion of Iraq has been an unmitigated disaster. A recent estimate is that there have been nearly 200,000 civilian deaths in the aftermath. Iraq quickly descended into civil war and anarchy (as widely predicted), the conflict spread into neighbouring Syria and Islamic State, or ISIS, spread out of Syria. The conflict has been the major recruiting incentive to Islamic extremism and terrorism. Assessments to that effect even by our own intelligence agencies are occasionally leaked or mentioned indiscreetly.
The invasion of Iraq was illegal and based on a transparently flimsy allegation that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction. It was inflicted by Western governments in the face of clear opposition from their citizens, voiced through polls and the biggest street demonstrations since the Vietnam War era. Even in the U.S. only 50% of the people supported it. It was principally driven by President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair, with our own Prime Minister Howard enthusiastically yapping along behind.
The U.S. regularly conducts remote drone assassinations around the world. They were presided over for eight years by the saintly Barack Obama. These regularly kill innocent people, along with the alleged enemy target. That is, if the intelligence supposedly identifying the target is even reliable. Can you argue that death falling unpredictably from the sky is not terrorism?
There are many more terrorist attacks and innocent casualties in the Middle East itself than in Western countries, though only the latter attract a Western media frenzy.

From [HERE] When Kalief Browder, age 16, was accused of stealing a backpack, New York City sent him to the Rikers Island jail to await trial. While there, he sparred with the other teenagers, the guards fought with him, and — like more than one in four adolescent boys at Rikers — Kalief was placed in the Central Punitive Segregation Unit.
That was the facility’s euphemism for solitary confinement, a set of 400 boxes, each about 12 feet long and 7 feet wide equipped with a bed, a toilet and a sink. That’s a little bigger than two queen-size mattresses laid side by side.
Kalief spent most of his final 17 months of a three-year detention at Rikers, including 10 months consecutively, in the C.P.S.U. Finally outside the prison walls at age 20 and unable to forget his nightmarish incarceration, he took his own life. It was at least his fifth suicide attempt starting with his confinement. His mother had no doubts that “solitary confinement is what destroyed my son.”
The life and death of Kalief Browder received significant attention because he was young and he professed his innocence, but the horror of solitary confinement persists regardless of a person’s guilt or age. Kalief’s self-harm was not unique or unpredictable.
Dr. Stuart Grassian of Harvard University has found that roughly a third of people in solitary confinement are “actively psychotic and/or acutely suicidal.” People held in isolation are the most likely among all prisoners to attempt suicide. And since the vast majority of prisoners will return home, those held in solitary confinement will eventually place burdens on their families and communities as they attempt to adjust to life on the outside.
Solitary confinement is widespread, with an estimated 80,000 to 100,000 adults held in such conditions on a typical day. It is not unusual for individuals to be held in their cells for 23 hours a day for weeks, months or even years.
Among juveniles, 35 percent of those held in facilities report having spent time in isolation. For more than half of those juveniles held in solitary, the isolation lasted for longer than 24 hours.
The existence of transfer laws that send juveniles to adult facilities can result in their being the only youth in an institution; compliance with the federal Prison Rape Elimination Act, designed to protect young people from older ones, segregates these young prisoners.
If they are the only person under 18 at an adult facility (not an unlikely scenario), their separation equates to isolation. Ending the placement of youth in adult facilities would remove this possibility.
A recent study found that state prosecutors are 95% white. It is unclear how diverse federal prosecutors are.
A major goal of the white supremacy system is the greater confinement of large numbers of non-white people. Alabama's "Death Row" is 53% Black. From [HERE] Alabama murdered Black inmate Robert Melson late Thursday for murdering three people during a robbery at a Popeye’s restaurant in 1994.
Melson was pronounced dead at 10:27 p.m. local time, following a lethal injection at Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore, according to the Associated Press. The execution began at 9:55 p.m., not long after the U.S. Supreme Court denied a last-minute stay request.
It was the nation’s 13th execution this year, and the second in Alabama in 2017, Reuters reported.
Melson declined an opportunity to say a few words before the execution, according to AL.com:
When asked if he had any last words, Melson shook his head ‘no.’ For approximately seven minutes, Melson appeared to have slightly labored breathing - a sign of pain in most human beings. He did not respond to a consciousness check by a corrections officer before the second two drugs in the three-drug execution method — which stop the heart and breathing — were administered.
Melson had been convicted of multiple counts of capital murder, attempted murder and robbery.
State prosecutors said he and a former employee robbed the restaurant in Gadsden, about 60 miles northeast of Birmingham. Melson then fired into the restaurant’s freezer, killing three employees — Nathaniel Baker, Tamika Collins and Darrell Collier — and injuring worker Bryant Archer, the AP reported.
Archer identified one of the robbers — the former employee — as Cuhuatemoc Peraita, who was sentenced to life without parole, according to Reuters. He is currently on death row for killing an inmate while in prison.
Melson’s execution had been temporarily stayed Thursday to consider last-minute briefs offered by his attorney, who argued the state’s lethal injection methods were inhumane and violated the constitutional protections against cruel and unusual punishment, according to AL.com.
“Alabama’s execution protocol is an illusion. It creates the illusion of a peaceful death when in truth, it is anything but,” Melson’s attorneys wrote in the filing to the Alabama Supreme Court, noting previously laborsome executions in Alabama, Arizona and Oklahoma, the AP reported.
In December, an Alabama inmate struggled for more than 10 minutes during an execution after being given the sedative midazolam, the AP reported.
After Melson’s murder by the state, Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall, who is white, said in a statement that Melson’s “decades long avoidance of justice is over,” according to AL.com. “For twenty-three years, the families of the three young people whose lives he took, as well as a survivor, have waited for closure and healing.” Revenge is done, whites are complete.

He challenges his readers to identify and then to demonstrate the superiority or functional supremacy of any of the world's "non-white" peoples over anyone. Concluding that since there is no operational supremacy of any "colored" people, Fuller reveals that the only valid operational definition of racism is white supremacy. He observes that in spite of any and all statements the world's "non-white" peoples may make about themselves having economic and/or political independence and the like, in the final analysis, they are all victims of the white supremacy process. A: Because this describes exactly WHO is practicing racism. For one group to practice racism that group must have MORE POWER than another group. Since whites control ALL the major areas of human activity in America — housing, education, health, entertainment, economics, politics, law, and religion — it is accurate to define all “racism” as “white supremacy.” We must be accurate so the victims of racism do not become confused.
Q: Isn’t all racism the same, regardless of who is practicing it?
A: There is only ONE kind of racism: white supremacy. White people are the only group in America with the POWER to discriminate (deprive or punish other ethnic groups), and the systems and institutions to maintain the imbalance of power.
For example, rich people are more powerful than poor people. Rich people have the POWER to discriminate against poor people by depriving them of income, promotions, jobs, housing, land, justice, and any other rights – if they choose to do so.
In America, whites have the POWER to discriminate against blacks (and other non-whites) by depriving them of income, promotions, jobs, housing, land, justice, and any other rights – if they choose to do so. It doesn’t matter that some whites are poorer than some blacks.
In all things and in all places in America, whites are collectively more powerful than blacks are collectively. bigot - one who manifests and expresses self hatred and self inferiority. Not to be confused with racism.
Bigotry - manfestation of the self-alien(h)ated and self hatred projected towards others, especially those of a different so-called race. Bigotry is personal, whereas white supremacy racism is an institutionalized group power dynamic and impersonal.
Racism - White Degeneracy wrongly cast as Supremacy. Racism—a psycho-socio-economic reality based on a pseudo-scientific biological myth—is a power group dynamic, i.e., a defined group cooperatively via legacy institutions exerting structured and enforced institutionalized and systemic injustice, oppression and power over another group. In a system of white supremacy/racism non-whites cannot be racist to whites b/c they have no power to do so. It is a white over Black system of vast unequal power by design.
I'm going to look briefly at European history as mythology, as propaganda, and as the creator of personality (which it is). It is mythology. European mythology (European hallucination) can only work against us where there is an absence of contact with reality, an absence of knowledge of Afrikan history. We hallucinate every night. These hallucinations are called dreams, and they occur at the point where we become detached from reality. We maintain our mental balance and sense of self by the input of our senses. It is necessary that for human beings to maintain sanity that they receive random input (and changing input) from the world. That is why we suffer so much when we are put into solitary confinement — where we can't see or hear anything — we may begin to have visions and hallucinations as a result thereof. There are what we call desensitization experiments. Some of us might have gotten a chance to see the movie, Altered States, that speaks to this kind of experience where when you remove a person's capacity to see, feel, hear, touch and so forth, very peculiar things happen to the mind. Hallucinations begin to occur, orientation is lost. The individual becomes imbalanced because the information that's normally used to maintain mental equilibrium is absent. We're in a similar state when we are asleep and the mind creates its own reality, its own movie show, and we watch it throughout the night. Often we don't know that we are in an unreal world until we wake up the next morning.
Mythology and hallucinations, such as those European history represents, can take us where it has taken us only as the result of the fact that we are not in touch with reality, not in touch with our Afrikan history in a realistic sense. European history is written in such a way, or projected in such a way, that we become detached and disconnected from the reality that maintains our sanity, maintains our balance and orientation. We then can fall victim to created visions and hallucinations, delusions and illusions.
In the final analysis, European history's principal function is to first separate us from the reality of ourselves and separate us from the reality of the world; to separate us from the reality of our history and to separate us from its ramifications. We will then take the hallucinations which result from these separations as representing what is real. That is its primary function — as mythology.
From the first day a reporter asked the first tough question of a government official, there has been a debate about whether government has the right to lie. It does. And in certain circum¬stances, government not only has the right but a positive obligation to he.
This is stated by Jody Powell (who served under former President Jimmy Carter, as press secretary) in his book, The Other Side of the Story. A very interesting admission. Many have heard me say that Europeans, who comprise 10 percent of the world's population, can only rule over the 90 percent by lying, by deceit and force. The only way that we can be in the condition we are in, as a people, is to believe lies. Our mentality has been reversed and our behavior made backwards because we take the lie for the truth, and the truth for the lie. A small minority in the world can only rule by making backwards the mentality of the large majority. It makes mentally backward the large majority by reversing the truth, creating lies and getting the majority to believe the lies that it creates. Powell has honestly admitted it.
European historiography lies in many ways. It even lies when ostensibly telling the truth. An effective propagandist doesn't want to tell too many big lies, too many obvious lies; he wants to tell the truth in a sort of way that gets him where he wants to go.
We have to recognize that European history-writing is an institution the way any other discipline is an institution. And the function of institutions in any oppressive society is to maintain the status quo. I don't care what institution we may talk about; whether we talk about the family institution, the criminal justice institution, the economic institution, the religious institutions, the health establishment, the educational institutions; they all have one thing in common in a Eurocentric oppressive system — to maintain the status quo and to maintain Afrikan people in oppression. We must keep this in mind. It is not so much what they say or don't say they represent. It is how they function that is of importance. The European writing of history is in tandem with everything else European and its purpose is ultimately the same: to maintain European power and domination.
